LONDON:GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) is about to face the challenge of opening a pharmaceutical firm to sell its erectile dysfunction treatment, which is now being branded as Viagra.
The US drugmaker was in talks with the European Union about potential licensing for its erectile dysfunction treatment and would become the first company to offer an alternative to Viagra, which was first approved in Europe last year.
The deal was announced in a statement made by GSK, which is now part of GlaxoSmithKline. The British drugmaker is working on an alternative medicine to treat patients with erectile dysfunction and is now in talks with the EU.
GSK is an umbrella company that has been involved in many business deals across the globe. The companies’ main offices are in London and Birmingham.
GSK’s move comes as the US firm has been looking into the possibility of selling Viagra on the market in the UK. Last month the UK’s General Medical Council asked the US Food and Drug Administration for its decision to sell the drug.
In the EU, a generic company will own the patent for Viagra and sell it exclusively for the treatment of erectile dysfunction, which is the most common sexual condition in the EU. The generic, Glaxo, had previously said it would sell its erectile dysfunction treatment for around £13bn (£8.3bn) in 2012.
The UK company, which is based in Surrey, is currently considering whether to offer its Viagra as a standalone treatment for erectile dysfunction, but has not yet decided.

GSK has a patent in the US, which gives it a monopoly on the drug. The European patent on the drug is expected to expire in 2014.
The European patent for Viagra has since expired, so the company will own the patent and could sell it to other companies for cheaper. The US patent on the erectile dysfunction drug is also expected to expire in 2014, as is the UK patent for Viagra.
The US company’s move comes as the UK’s General Medical Council asked the US Food and Drug Administration for its decision to sell its erectile dysfunction treatment. The FDA in March had asked the company to sell its erectile dysfunction treatment for around £13bn (£8.3bn) in 2012.
The UK’s General Medical Council has been asked to advise on the potential for licensing in the US of its Viagra product, and could also launch its own generic version of the erectile dysfunction drug in Europe.
The EU’s decision to sell Viagra will depend on whether other companies with similar patents in other countries sell their products. However, the US patent on the erectile dysfunction drug expires in 2014, meaning the patent for Viagra will now be valid until 2020.
GSK is a major player in the UK pharmaceutical market and has made significant contributions to the global health care sector.
It is also part of a large group of companies that work across the industry and business sectors, including consumer health, pharma, food, technology and education.
The company has a manufacturing and distribution agreement with Teva, which has become the first generic drug firm to offer Viagra to customers.
GSK said it would be interested in signing an exclusive licensing deal with Teva to sell its erectile dysfunction treatment, and would also be interested in the UK company’s Viagra product.
“We are in the process of negotiating an exclusive license,” said GSK chairman and chief executive Andrew Witty. “We have a long-standing business relationship with Teva.”
GSK’s other patents include a patent for an alternative to Viagra. Last year the company announced plans to market its erectile dysfunction treatment, which treats erectile dysfunction, as “Viagra Connect”.
It was first approved by the FDA in March and is now in discussions with regulatory bodies in the US, Europe and the UK. In the US, it is expected to sell its erectile dysfunction treatment for around £13bn (£8.3bn) in 2012.
GSK said it will market its Viagra product as “Viagra Connect” and will be interested in the UK company’s product.
“We’re trying to keep our distance,” said Witty.
In a, Pfizer, the U. S. drug giant, and Pfizer’s US sales reps, were given information about the potential health risks of using Viagra to treat erectile dysfunction, according to a Reuters study. Pfizer’s Viagra, which was introduced in 1998, was designed to treat men suffering from erectile dysfunction, but it is now available only to doctors in some form. “Pfizer has been able to put their drug in the public domain for the last decade,” said Dr. Steven Nissen, a urologist at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. Pfizer has said it was able to develop a pill with the same mechanism of action as Viagra that has been approved by the U. Food and Drug Administration in 2012. “The drug has to be prescribed under the supervision of a licensed medical practitioner, and that’s why the U. Food and Drug Administration approved the drug to treat erectile dysfunction,” Nissen said. Pfizer’s marketing plans are also changing, with the drug’s U. sales representatives and reps, including former employees, now being invited to speak about the drug’s potential to treat erectile dysfunction.

Pfizer said it will begin selling the drug to doctors in the U. in the coming weeks, including the U. on Monday. Pfizer said it has no plans to make an upfront payment for the drug, but it has been told to give the rep time to fill out an application. Viagra, sold by Bayer, has been under the microscope since the late 1990s for the supposed “little blue pill.” It’s a medication that millions of men worldwide have used to treat erectile dysfunction. However, a new study, published in the journal, is showing that it also works. It’s a drug that’s used to treat impotence, and a drug that’s taken orally, to enhance a man’s ability to get and keep an erection. It’s called Cialis, which is available by prescription only. While the new study is promising, it’s not entirely clear how the new research compares with some of the other drugs that have been studied for impotence. One of the new findings is that Cialis has higher efficacy than Viagra. That means that if you take a pill that’s taken by mouth, Cialis will probably work faster than Viagra. The other drug that’s taken orally is Levitra, which is available by prescription only.
The study is based on a study of patients who took Viagra for a year or more. The researchers then compared the results with those of Viagra and Levitra. They found that the two drugs have similar efficacy in treating impotence. The researchers concluded that there are ways to improve a man’s ability to get and keep an erection when taking Viagra.
“We need to learn to take Viagra if it’s a drug that’s taken orally,” says Dr. Michael Weinstein, a professor of clinical pharmacology and biochemistry. “We need to learn to take Viagra if it’s a drug that’s taken orally, and if it’s a drug that’s taken directly from the medication itself.”
The drugs in this study were taken by people with a diagnosis of erectile dysfunction. They were also randomly assigned to take a pill that was taken by mouth or a pill that had a low rate of absorption. The study was published today in the journalJAMA Internal Medicine.
Viagra and Levitra are taken by mouth, but Cialis is taken orally, and the researchers have also tried a pill called Cialis. The study’s results were published online last month in the journalIt was also published online last month in the journalN Engl J MedDr. Weinstein and Dr. Scott Farrar, who led the study, toldthat they’re working on results in the journal while they’re doing the research. They also expressed concern that it might be possible to treat a disorder that affects men’s sexual health, including impotence.
